Market Update
Things are zipping along with the typical rise in inventory for the fall selling season and buyers are out in force. The AI boom continues to gain traction in San Francisco and stock markets have hit new all-time highs in the past month, a big positive for affluent real estate markets like the Bay Area. Interest rates are dropping, always good news, but consumer confidence ratings remain low; measures of economic uncertainty - both national and international - remain high; and much depends on the jobs and inflation reports in the coming weeks and months. Marin Sanitary Customer Appreciation Day
If the Green Home Tour inspires you to learn about more ways to be sustainable in your community, check out the Marin Sanitary Service Customer Appreciation Day on Sunday, September 28th. My favorite is the free compost giveaway, but the whole event is a celebration of creativity, community and environmental action.
Crosstober 2025
October is the perfect month to get outside and enjoy the amazing San Francisco Crosstown Trail. Connecting the four corners of San Francisco, the Crosstown Trails run through hidden trails, public parks, shopping corridors, tiled stairways and community gardens along the way. The first trail opened in 2018, followed by the Double Cross Trail a few years later. Now the Roundabout covers 38 miles around the perimeter of the city. This month features the 6th annual Crosstober 25, a series of guided walks and other events taking place every weekend. All of it is FREE, but reservations fill quickly. I continue to be impressed by all of the resources Compass has to offer. Last month I featured Compass One, the customer dashboard that helps agents, buyers and sellers track property searches and communicate with ease. Compass Concierge helps sellers easily prepare their homes for market by advancing the funds for home improvement services. Qualified sellers receive a debit card to use for a range of improvements including moving and staging costs. The program is paid back at closing. Reach out to learn more.
